About Endeavor
A school intentionally built around adolescent development.
Endeavor Preparatory School was created because students deserve more than fragmented educational experiences.
Why we built Endeavor Prep
Education works best when it is intentionally designed around relationships, intellectual challenge, developmental growth, and meaningful purpose.
Too often, students experience school as a disconnected collection of academic demands, isolated support systems, and competing expectations. Academics may be strong, but executive functioning is assumed rather than taught. Wellness may be discussed, but not embedded into daily school culture.
Leadership may be encouraged, but rarely developed through intentional practice. Practical life readiness is often overlooked. Modern digital fluency is inconsistently addressed.
Endeavor Preparatory School was created to address these realities. Our founding team brought together expertise in school leadership, adolescent wellness, performance development, and practical life learning to build a school intentionally designed around how adolescents actually grow.
"This is not a school built around trends. It is a school built around students."
Mission
Endeavor Preparatory School empowers students to pursue excellence with purpose. Through rigorous academics, executive functioning development, wellness integration, leadership formation, community engagement, practical life learning, and relationship-centered educational design, we cultivate capable learners and principled leaders prepared to thrive in school, in community, and in life.
Vision
We envision a school where students are deeply known, intellectually challenged, emotionally supported, physically engaged, and intentionally prepared to lead with integrity, confidence, and purpose. We believe education should develop not only academic competence, but also independence, resilience, discernment, responsibility, and meaningful readiness for an increasingly complex world.
Our Philosophy
More than academics alone.
Adolescence Is Formative
These are years in which students are actively shaping identity, habits, independence, academic confidence, emotional resilience, social relationships, and practical readiness. Schools should intentionally support this developmental work.
Why Grades 6–12?
Middle school and high school represent one of the most important developmental stretches in a young person's life. A coherent 6–12 model allows Endeavor to create continuity across these formative years, building culture, shared expectations, and long-term relationships over time.
Integrated, Not Fragmented
Our differentiators include rigorous college preparatory academics, executive functioning as a signature pillar, embedded wellness, leadership through contribution, weekly community service, practical life readiness, entrepreneurial thinking, and AI literacy integrated thoughtfully throughout.
Why Endeavor

Relational School Culture
Every student is known, every contribution matters.
Personalization with real school community.
Some families appreciate highly individualized academic models because they offer flexibility and personalization. However, these environments may not provide the broader student community, leadership experiences, peer relationships, traditions, and school culture that many adolescents need.
Endeavor Prep combines meaningful personalization with the richness of a true school community.
"Personalized learning should not require sacrificing school community."
Small By Design
Launching as an intentionally smaller school allows Endeavor Prep to cultivate strong relationships, clear culture, and a deeply connected founding community.
Students are known. Families are known. Culture can be built intentionally. Growth will be thoughtful rather than purely transactional.

Our Model
One coherent educational model.
At the center of the Endeavor model is student development — surrounded by essential pillars intentionally designed to support it.
Academics
Academic rigor for the world students are entering.
Endeavor Preparatory School delivers a rigorous college preparatory education designed to cultivate intellectual curiosity, disciplined thinking, strong communication, and meaningful real-world readiness.
Students are challenged to think deeply, write clearly, engage thoughtfully, and take increasing ownership of their learning.
Endeavor Prep combines the intellectual expectations of a strong college preparatory program with the personalization made possible by a smaller, highly relational school environment.
"Academic rigor is not defined by passive compliance or excessive workload. It is defined by meaningful challenge, disciplined thinking, and preparation for increasingly independent academic work."
What this looks like
→ Discussion-rich classrooms and inquiry-driven instruction
→ Writing across disciplines and interdisciplinary thinking
→ Meaningful academic accountability and close faculty mentorship
→ AI literacy and digital fluency integrated thoughtfully
→ Modern research practices and responsible digital citizenship
→ Serious preparation for college and beyond
Technology Approach
Technology should enhance thinking, not replace it. Students develop critical evaluation of information, ethical AI awareness, and productive technology use.
Executive Functioning
We teach students how to learn.
Executive functioning is one of the strongest predictors of long-term academic success, independence, confidence, and leadership. Yet many schools assume students naturally develop these skills.
At Endeavor Prep, we believe executive functioning should be intentionally taught rather than assumed. These are life skills, not optional extras.
Executive functioning at Endeavor is not treated as a separate intervention program. It is intentionally embedded into the culture and instructional design of the school.
"Academic potential requires effective habits."
Embedded, Not Outsourced
Students encounter executive functioning development through academic coaching, teacher expectations, planning systems, reflection routines, accountability structures, advisory relationships, and practical applied learning experiences.
Practical habits for independent success.
Planning & Prioritization
Students learn to break large assignments into manageable steps, plan backward from deadlines, prioritize competing responsibilities, and create realistic action plans.
Organization
Students learn to manage physical materials, organize digital resources, build dependable workflow systems, and create consistent academic structures.
Time Management
Students learn to estimate workload accurately, allocate time intentionally, avoid procrastination, and manage competing priorities.
Task Initiation
Students learn to begin challenging work effectively, overcome avoidance behaviors, and develop productive work-start habits.
Self-Advocacy
Students learn to communicate clearly with teachers, request support appropriately, clarify expectations, and take ownership of academic needs.
Reflection & Metacognition
Students learn to understand how they learn best, evaluate strategies, make intentional adjustments, and become reflective learners.
Resilience
Students learn to recover from setbacks, revise plans, persist through challenge, and respond productively to failure.
Flexible Pathways
Rigor without rigidity.
Students live real lives. Some balance outside commitments. Some thrive in personalized structures. Some need thoughtful adaptability while maintaining strong academic expectations.
Endeavor Prep was intentionally designed with flexibility in mind. We believe thoughtful flexibility can coexist with strong accountability, serious academics, and meaningful relationships.
"Flexibility should not mean lower expectations. It should mean smarter educational design."
Who may benefit?
→ Students balancing meaningful outside pursuits
→ Students needing scheduling adaptability
→ Students who thrive in smaller personalized environments
→ Students seeking rigorous academics in a more responsive model
Individualized Scheduling

Blended Academic Support
Blended supports where appropriate to maintain engagement and progress.
Pathway Customization
Mission-aligned customization that serves the individual student's educational journey.
Accountability Structures
Students remain accountable for engagement, deadlines, communication, and ownership throughout.
Important
Endeavor's flexible model is relationship-centered, not permissive. Flexibility requires responsibility.
Wellness
Wellness is part of how students grow.
Student wellbeing should not be treated as an afterthought. At Endeavor Prep, wellness is intentionally integrated into school culture through relationships, routines, emotional development, reflection, and trusted adult support.
Adolescents thrive when they feel known, safe, connected, supported, respected, and emotionally capable. Wellness is not separate from learning — it influences focus, resilience, confidence, relationships, and academic performance.
"Healthy students learn better."
What wellness includes
•Emotional regulation•Self-awareness•Stress management•Reflective practices•Healthy routines•Belonging & connection•Confidence-building•Trusted adult support

Family Partnership
Strong schools partner with families. Healthy adolescent development works best when schools and families collaborate intentionally. Endeavor values open communication and shared partnership.
Athletics & Performance
Movement. Discipline. Resilience.
Physical development matters. Endeavor views movement, discipline, resilience, and healthy performance as important dimensions of adolescent growth.
Movement supports focus, confidence, stress regulation, discipline, resilience, and wellbeing. Physical development should be part of a healthy educational experience.
Located near parks, green space, and outdoor resources, Endeavor can intentionally leverage Houston's environment to support movement, conditioning, performance development, and experiential physical programming.
"Performance is not defined solely by competitive athletics. It includes discipline, consistency, effort, resilience, challenge, physical confidence, and personal growth."

Leadership, Service & Applied Learning
Leadership begins with contribution.
Leadership at Endeavor is not defined by titles. It is developed through responsibility, initiative, service, collaboration, and meaningful contribution.
Weekly service as school culture
Community service is intentionally embedded into the weekly rhythm of the school. Students engage in meaningful opportunities to contribute to the broader Houston community.
Service helps students develop empathy, humility, civic awareness, responsibility, leadership, and perspective. This is not an occasional graduation checkbox — it is a formative school practice.
"This is not an occasional graduation checkbox. It is a formative school practice."
Practical Life Skills
Education should prepare students for life, not simply coursework. Endeavor intentionally incorporates practical applied learning experiences that build confidence, independence, and competence.

The Course
Learning by doing. Cooking by understanding.
Taught by Dr. Josie Paul — a Pastry Chef certified by the Texas Education Agency — this course immerses students in the food service, hospitality, and tourism industry with an emphasis on customer service and Houston's thriving culinary scene.
Through classroom labs, community events, field trips, and guest speakers, students develop the skills and confidence to pursue careers in one of the fastest-growing industries in the country.
Students don't just learn to cook — they learn to create. Through hands-on labs and real-world experiences, students produce professional-quality work that reflects both technical skill and creative vision.
Field trips, community service events, and industry speakers bring the Houston hospitality world into the classroom and give students a genuine window into what a career in this dynamic, service-oriented industry looks like.
"The culinary program prepares students for entry-level careers and for pursuing majors in hotel and restaurant management, culinary arts, and hospitality."
A founding team whose expertise spans school leadership, adolescent wellness, practical life readiness, and performance development.
Building a school requires more than operational execution. It requires vision, credibility, developmental understanding, and a deep commitment to students and families.
