David Garner, Co-Founder and Head of School

David Garner

Co-Founder & Head of School

David Garner brings academic leadership, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to student formation to his role as Co-Founder and Head of School. With graduate training that includes an MBA, MAT, and doctoral study at Vanderbilt University, David helps shape Endeavor Prep’s college-preparatory model around rigorous academics, relational teaching, and systems that support students as whole people. His leadership centers on building a school culture where students are challenged, supported, and deeply known.

Dr. Josie Paul, PhD, LMFT

Co-Founder & Director of Wellness & Student Success

Dr. Josie Paul is a licensed marriage and family therapist whose work connects mental health, student development, and family support. As Co-Founder and Director of Wellness & Student Success, she helps ensure that Endeavor Prep’s academic program is integrated with care for students’ social, emotional, cognitive, and relational growth. Her leadership fosters a school environment in which wellness, belonging, and achievement are treated as inseparable parts of student success.

Charles Gipson, Co-Founder, Director of Athletics and Leadership Development

Charles Gipson

Co-Founder & Director of Athletics & Leadership Development

Charles Gipson brings high-performance athletic experience and practical leadership to Endeavor Prep’s founding team. A former Major League Baseball player, Charles understands the discipline, resilience, teamwork, and personal development that students need to grow into capable young adults. As Director of Athletics & Performance, he helps develop programs that support physical development, character formation, and healthy habits that extend beyond the classroom.

David Garner

David Garner

Co-Founder & Head of School

David Garner brings more than two decades of leadership experience across education, business, and nonprofit organizations. His professional background includes executive leadership in independent schools, finance and operations, strategic planning, organizational development, and school improvement. He holds graduate degrees in business and education and is pursuing doctoral studies in Learning and Leadership at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College.

Throughout his career, David has focused on creating environments where students are known, challenged, and supported. His work has centered on building strong school cultures, developing innovative academic programs, strengthening executive functioning and life skills, and fostering meaningful relationships between students, families, and educators.

Beyond his professional work, David has served in numerous leadership roles within the Houston community, including service on educational, religious, and nonprofit boards.

Dr. Josie Paul

Co-Founder & Director of Wellness & Student Success

Drawing on our combined experience in education, mental health, and athletics, we have designed a school that recognizes adolescent development as fundamentally relational. Learning does not occur in isolation; it emerges through interaction, reflection, collaboration, and purposeful struggle. As such,

Endeavor Prep integrates academic rigor, health and wellness, physical development, and leadership formation into a unified, dialogic model.

Our aim is not merely to transmit knowledge, but to cultivate learners who can think critically, regulate themselves, collaborate effectively, and lead with empathy and integrity.

About the Program

Food, hospitality, and real-world readiness.

This course introduces students to the food service, hospitality, and tourism industry with an emphasis on customer service and the local hospitality industry. Through classroom lab and community project-based learning experiences, students acquire the skills necessary to gain employment in this growing industry.

Field trips, community service events, and guest speakers give students opportunities to visualize themselves working in this dynamic, service-oriented industry.

The program also provides a strong foundation for pursuing college majors in hotel and restaurant management, culinary arts, tourism, and recreation.

Enrollment Details

Rolling Admissions

Applications are reviewed throughout the year as spaces are available. We encourage families to apply to secure enrollment for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Enrollment Deposit

A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your child's place at Endeavor Prep. This deposit is applied toward the first year's tuition.

New Student Fee

A one-time, non-refundable $350 new student fee is due at enrollment, covering orientation, materials, and initial student services.

Founding Family Commitment

Founding Family Flexibility Commitment

Recognizing that enrollment in a new school requires mutual trust, Endeavor Prep offers a Founding Family Flexibility Commitment for the 2026–2027 academic year. Families may withdraw with thirty (30) days written notice. Tuition obligations continue through the end of the calendar month following the month in which notice is received.
